Double bedroom in Eastville BS5

Hey everyone

A double bedroom in our home in Eastville BS5 has become available from mid - end sept, as our lovely lodger is sadly moving out after being with us nearly a year.  Details below:

• £620 all inc. (£500 rent + £120 bills)

• Both short term (1 month+) and longer term rents welcome
• Council tax band B
• DSS accepted
• Sorry, no pets or couples
• Rolling monthly contract

The room is a part-furnished, large double. It comes with a kingsize bed and mattress, built in eaves storage and a built in wardrobe. There’s a bathroom on the same floor that would mostly be used by you, as we have an ensuite in the attic. Downstairs has an open-plan dining room, sitting room and kitchen. We also have a fully furnished garden with a sofa, BBQ, (fire pit pending), and a cabin at the end, which is currently an office. We are right by Eastville Park, two cemeteries and lots of fields. So lots of green, open space everywhere.

The house is very calm, peaceful and homely and would suit someone who has their own independent lives going on, who values being kind, friendly, clean, and tidy. We want to emphasise this is not a party house at all(!!) It’s more granddad vibes, who enjoy a partial BBQ and having dinners in/out. Would be lovely to become pals with the person we are living with, but equally would suit someone who is not reliant on socialising every evening. It goes without saying that our home is LGBT+ friendly.

I work in the mental health sector and my partner works in the education sector, both from home. I'd like to say we are chilled out, easy going people, who are easily pleased.

It is essential that you are a huge animal lover, and don’t mind the chaos that comes with it, as we have begun to resemble as some sort of zoo. We have three cats, with our recent addition being Juni, our Maine coon kitten. I share a Labrador who stays with us every few weeks and we also dog sit as a side job, so there’s usually at least four animals zooming around (sometimes six!!) This also means we obviously can’t take on any more pets, though we would be open to a gecko, and fish are of course welcome here.

Last time we posted a room we got a lot of messages and it was quite overwhelming, so I am sorry if we cannot get back to you. We won’t be able to respond if you are a couple or need somewhere to take your pets, apologies in advance.

To help with the process, please can you write a bit about yourself, what you get up to, what your work schedule is like (if you work), what you like to do in your spare time (I personally hate this question as I have no hobbies. So please, if you do nothing at all but watch trash television, this is equally great).

We will get back to people on Monday 12th and will be aiming to do viewings that week (Mon 12th-Fri 16th) and week comm 19th. I will be away next weekend, so won’t be able to reply. If you can’t attend an in-person one, we can FaceTime or a pal is welcome to come view the room for you.
