Description
Greetings :-) We have a large double room available from the 10th Feb in a 3-bed house in Eastville, on Freemantle road. Boring stuff: DSS accepted, no pets unless contained (we have a cat), LGBT+ friendly, no full time homeworkers (see below), no deposit or fees, £570 pcm, all bills included, live-in landlord. Ideally you'd stay for a minimum of 12months.
You'd be sharing with me, I'm 40, self-employed & an events organiser; maybe you've come across my Free Silent Disco events series in Bristol. You'd also be sharing with Gareth, 35, a professional handy person. Ella, 28, is moving out to go travelling, and we'll miss her a lot! We get on really well, and look out for each other as best we can. Me & Gareth have been close friends for years. Our socialising isn't very structured, but we do hang out a fair bit, watch telly together sometimes (Gareth is a master of finding obscure YouTube channels), stay in touch with regular catch-ups, and orbit around the cat, who is a rather adorable attention-seeker. Occasionally we do things together out of the house, when we have time & our interests align; you'll certainly get a lot of invites from me to various silent disco events around Bristol; me and Ella (who also works in events) put on a couple of free silent discos in Eastville park last year - she did all the decor.
We're not considering a full-time homeworker for this room as we already have one of those, and multiple people living and working full time under the same roof isn't healthy in our experience.
The house is owned by me, but I try to make it feel as much like a normal house-share as possible, but with more colour on the walls :-) We're looking for someone in the age range of 25-45, who is sociable, considerate, enjoys living with people, and wants to make good friends with the people they live with; team players only please. It's setup to be a sociable house-share with lots of shared living space, and we're very happy for friends & partners etc to come over, but not really up for hosting parties & into-the-early-hours benders. We're keen to keep this place more of a friendly & supportive retreat from the chaos of city life, than a dinner-party-every-night / houseparty entertainment hub sort of thing.
The house has a decent sized kitchen with a breakfast / dining room attached to it, and a comfy living room. The garden is small but has a lean-to. The bathroom is a wet-room style, and is downstairs just past the kitchen. We only have one toilet, but don't find ourselves waiting for each other too much.
The room in question is the lagest room, is upstairs, and measures 4 x 4.8m. It comes with a bed if needed, but no mattress, and a wardrobe.
Please PM me and tell us a bit about yourself, and what you're like to live with. I think I've covered everything, but don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Please don't be disheartened if I don't get back to you, I've got a busy few days ahead of me.
Please bring a friend to your viewing, as we find this can help balance out the meeting somewhat, plus helps us paint a better picture of who you are. Living with people can be hard, and it can be joyful; we prefer to put the work in to ensure the best probability of the achieving the latter, which is surely the best approach for everyone, and is why we will most likely ask for a second viewing (if the first went well) before making a decision.
