I want to let a double room in my 3-bedroom end-terrace house in Oldbury Court, Fishponds. I would like to let to a single person rather than a couple.
The room can be furnished (with single or double bed, bookcase, desk/chair, wardrobe) or unfurnished, according to your wishes/circumstances.
You will have shared use of the bright, spacious, fully equipped kitchen/diner and the sitting-room. We have gas central heating and high-speed fibre broadband, large smart TV and a decent upright piano.
All is decorated in light plain colours, with clean beige carpets throughout.
There's a south-east facing back garden, comprising a patio area with wooden bench table and a raised lawn behind.
My son, who is a software manager and a decent person, uses the 3rd bedroom as a home office Mon-Fri 8.30-5.30 approx.
I live abroad for approx. 1/2 of the time, so you'll sometimes have the house to yourself.
By car it is 5 mins to the ring road & M4. Buses to the city centre run hourly from the end of the street.
If you cycle, we're not far from the Bristol/Bath cycle path. Parkway station is within cycling distance.
There's plenty of green space nearby, with the Oldbury Court estate and Frome valley for walking, sporting/health activities and picnics.
I'd like you to maintain a high level of cleanliness, to take responsibility for your surroundings, and to be easy-going enough to tolerate my comings and goings with genuine good grace.
I am male, 69 yrs old. Interests include dreaming/shamanism, personal development, meditation, art, music, reading/writing, nature and my vintage motorbike. I can be sociable, but I'm not a party animal and I would prefer a mature, quiet, self-aware and assertive person who is respectful of their own and others' needs.
I am vegetarian, and I would prefer to share with similar; but I am flexible and it's really not a deal-breaker.
I don't want smokers or regular drinkers. I’d prefer not to have children or pets either.
The room is available as of now, but I'm willing to wait a bit for the right applicant.
