Description
Furnished double room available from the 15th December 2025 onwards for short term let 1-6 months but could be ongoing if works out well. A good sized room with lots of natural light and lovely view out the window (see photo). - £800 inclusive of all bills. Ideally suit someone who is working (prefer no WFH or minimal WFH eg 1 day a week but open to discussion if short term let) or student full-time on campus. Two shared living rooms downstairs so plenty of space and T. V. in both rooms.
Looking to share with someone who is easy going, clean and tidy, respectful, a good communicator (not always easy I know!), and who is ok to live in a mostly vege household. I try to live sustainably as much as I can but don’t always manage it.
The house is just a few mins walk round the corner from Eastville lake and the Frome walkway. Its amazing to have nature on the doorstep yet be only a 20 min bus ride into the city centre. It’s the best of both worlds! The house is a few mins from a bus stop and is close to links with the M4 via M32. The garden has a patio area which is great in the summer.
A bit about me.... I’ve been an Acupuncturist for the last 14 years. When not working I love being in nature and walks, cinema, theatre, time with friends/family, pilates, music and radio, films, watching a good Netflix or Prime drama, reading, cooking (especially nutritious food) and of course eating tasty food! I like to laugh and to share laughter. Equality and fairness are important to me in life as is kindness and compassion.
Friends describe me as kind, perceptive, wise, and humorous. I aim for a mostly simple, gentle and quiet lifestyle and particularly with the work I do I need time to restore and recharge. Also sociable, enjoy connecting/conversation and open to having a chat/cuppa or watching a film if it happens in a spontaneous way.
My partner Sarah (who usually lives in Wales) is currently living with me in Bristol due to recovery from health issues and is awaiting surgery. Also in the house is Sarah's cute and mischievous 1 year old cockapoo Benji - (so you would need to be ok with dogs!). I’ve been a lodger myself and have had some lovely experiences and some not so good ones so have an understanding of what works and what doesn’t but again its an individual thing I guess. We currently have a lodger who is on a research stay for 3 months (until end of Nov) and it’s been a lovely experience having her living here.
Monthly rent is £800 inclusive of all bills. Currently a short term let for 1-6 months but open to ongoing if working well. Available from 15th Dec 2025
Look forward to hearing back from some lovely people!
