Hello, we’re a friendly group of 4 mature students living in a house share, and we’re on the hunt for a new 5th member to join our queer home in Fishponds! We’re looking for another full-time student between the ages 24 – 28.
The room is a furnished ground floor room facing onto a quiet street. It is available from 30th August for a 12 month contract. Rent is £650/ month, and bills are approx. £50/month (includes gas, elec, water, personal contents insurance and wifi - no council tax as we are all students)
The room requires a deposit (one month’s rent).
The new member must have a UK guarantor that is a homeowner.
About the house:
The house is a decent size with an open plan kitchen, living and dining space. It has a small patio garden that gets great sunlight and backs onto a gorgeous open field. We have a driveway and currently no one owns a car, so free off-street parking. It has two bathrooms and a communal study/ TV room.
About the location:
The house is in Fishponds, in a great location for UWE students (2 min walk to Glenside and 15 mins bus ride to Frenchay). We’re a 10 min walk to Fishponds high street with plenty of pubs and supermarkets.
About the housemates:
We’re all sociable and easy going people whose interests include live music (some of us play instruments), dancing/kitchen discos, cooking, watching movies, playing the switch, crafts, yoga and the occasional boardgame. You’d be sharing with 4 queer housemates (combination of enby (afab), lesbian, pan and poly folks) who are always down for a house meal and equally enjoy a pub trip or night out for a boogie from time to time! We all have varying uni schedules but love to hang out with each other whenever possible whilst also being super respectful of people’s personal space and needs too. The shared areas are kept clean and tidy, and everyone does their bit to keep the house looking nice.
We’re after someone who is clean, tidy, respects volume levels and wants to be friends not just housemates. We’ve all lived in shared housing for a few years now (and a year together) and we’d like the new member to be proactive in the house day to day and add to the good vibes! Bonus points if you’re queer as we are keen to keep that energy 🏳🌈
