1 Bedroom in student house, Fishponds BS16, £620/m

Hi, we’re looking for a person to fill a room in our house as one of the housemates has to move. Here are the details:

Location: Fishponds. Fairly quiet area; express buses take 20-25 minutes to make it to the city centre (and hence to UoB). Some buses — not express, but still — run all night (lowest frequency is about 30-40 minutes at 3am). Buses (46) also run to UWE Frenchay/Glenside.

Nearby amenities: Lots of shops. There are Lidl, Aldi, and Morrisons within walking distance, as well as small Co-op and Sainsbury’s, and a few other local shops. Lots of takeaways and stuff within easy walking distance too. Big Tesco and IKEA are a short (10min) bus ride away. Bristol-Bath cycle path allows for cycling to city centre.

Rent: £620/month.

Bills: Currently unsure; we’re re-contracting at the moment. We expect around £60/month. That covers gas/electric, water/waste, and internet.

Contract: Feel free to move in whenever, at least one of us is likely to be around all summer to lend a hand as long as we’ve got a bit of notice. Ends 03/08/26 (inclusive); some or all of us may be renewing at the end of the year, but we’re not sure yet.

Room: Small but cozy room, with a double bed. Also comes with a built-in wardrobe, desk and desk chair, bedside table, and curtains.

House amenities: Decent-sized kitchen (including washing machine and tumble-drier), one bathroom downstairs with shower and bath.

Housemates: Three other people.

Things we’re looking for in a housemate: We’re fairly chill, no wild parties please but bringing a friend or two round is okay, no drugs or illegal activity, LGBTQ+ and Neurodiverse friendly.

Council tax band B; but obviously students are exempt, so you can apply for that and won’t need to pay.
