Description

I'm looking for new housemates from 24th August :)

It's a 3-bed house in Fishponds/Hillfields - I own it and live here, and have 2 rooms available from late August. A friend has been living here for a while but he’s off to Manchester. There’s a double room and smaller room available - you can just squeeze a double bed in the small room with the right frame - but it’s tight!

I’m looking to rent out both rooms and thinking it would suit a couple who could have both for £1,200 pcm (including all bills). The small room can be used for a wfh office if needed or storage, as there's no loft.

Haven’t left myself loads of time though, so failing that I’m open to renting both rooms separately - £650 for the double and £550 for the smaller (with additional storage).

The house has a big open kitchen-diner which was all done new a couple of years ago - nice and bright and lots of houseplants, and a downstairs toilet which is very handy. Also a separate living room complete with piano 🎼 Would love to have pets in the house again so dogs / cats welcome. DSS welcome.

There’s a good-size garden and shed for bikes, and access via a lane at the back. It’s close to the cycle path so you can be in town in 15 mins. Been here for 4 years and I love the area - loads of community stuff going on, the local high streets are good, and there's so much more space / sky here than closer to town!

I work for local charities atm, starting a permaculture course in Sep for a year - and working part-time alongside. I'm out and about a lot - lots of hobbies and community stuff going on. I'm 44 and it's defo not a party house, but I'm social and up for the odd meal together and hanging out (in theory I’m up for this way more, but just seem to be out and about a lot!).

I like to keep the place clean and tidy but relaxed. Very happy for people to help with the garden and use all the space, have guests round - want it to feel like home. Most important is respecting each other's space and looking after the place.

One thing to mention is I will be looking to sell in the not too distant future as the plan is to build a tiny home in friends' garden and live there. But we're at the very early stages, need to get planning permission - sure it's going to take at least a year before I'm starting to sell - but want to be upfront about it.
