Large room available in Fishponds

We’re looking for a mature, eco-conscious, and laid-back housemate to join our home in Fishponds. We are a household in our late 30s and 40s (Jasmine, partner Andy, and stepsister Lauren), all working in wellbeing, living alongside our 8-year-old son George and our very cuddly cat, Poppy. We’re a musical, neurodivergent-friendly home that values honest, considerate communication to keep our space safe and comfortable. We’re looking for someone calm who is comfortable sharing a home with a child. George is educated outside mainstream school, attending an alternative setting three days a week and otherwise at home, though as a family we also go away travelling for long periods of time.

We lead a conscious, low-waste lifestyle using non-toxic cleaning products and minimal kitchen plastics. We’d love to explore more communal living, sharing meals, potential bulk buying, and teaming up in our big, sunny garden where I’m working on growing veg. We love coming together as a household, but we deeply respect everyone’s need for quiet, guilt-free downtime to recharge in their own space.

The available room is large and unfurnished, but can be furnished if needed. We’re finishing up some building work, so while photos aren't quite ready, we’re happy to host in-person tours. The location in Fishponds (BS16) is super convenient, with a direct city-centre bus stop right outside and the cycle path only minutes away. Rent is £800 per month with all bills included, available from mid-September.
