Huge room for rent in iconic harbour family house

We are looking for a new lodger for the huge room available on the top floor of our home. The room is 6.5m x 4m and has panoramic views of Bristol harbour, including Bristol Cathedral and St Mary Redcliffe.

We are in the midst of renovating the room but it will be fully furnished to a high level and a new carpet fitted by mid-January. Rent includes all bills.

The room will contain:

1. King size bed and very comfortable mattress
2. Small dining table and two chairs
3. Comfortable arm chair and foot stool
4. Space for hanging clothes
5. Lamps
6. Drying rack

The home - it is a family home with 7 bedrooms over 5 floors.

There are 4 of us - 2 parents and 2 children (age 4 and 7) as well as our greyhound, ZZ. ZZ is a large dog, but is the gentlest soul. He never jumps up at you and is very old, so mostly sleeps all day... We have had lodgers for almost 20 years and many remain close friends.

You are welcome to use our very large kitchen, and will have your own fridge and cupboard. You can help yourself to our plates/saucepans etc. There is a huge garden and also a double garage at the rear of the house.

We would prefer a female lodger, but are open to hosting a couple for a slightly higher rental fee. Please note that we will require character references and will need to meet you in person before accepting you as a lodger. We are also very happy to provide references.

We are a liberal Christian family but welcome people from all faiths and none, and we are fully LGBTQIA+ affirming.
