A lovely double room is available in my peaceful harbourside flat, located in one of the most beautiful and sought-after areas of Bristol.

The flat sits within a quiet, well-kept estate with a shared wraparound garden and beautiful views of the water, with no roads in front of the flat. It’s a rare combination of city convenience and being surrounded by green and blue spaces. The flat is on Spike Island at harbourside, within walking distance of the city centre and Ashton Court, and less than 15 minutes’ walk to Wapping Wharf. You would have access to an allocated parking space and secure bike storage within the estate, and there are regular bus services from the end of the road.

It’s an ideal location for enjoying everything Bristol has to offer while still coming home to a calm, quiet and relaxing space.

The room:

* Available from 6th August (though could make 1st August work if needed)
* Double room (best suited to a small double bed, although a standard double will fit) - can be unfurnished or part furnished with sofa bed (see pictures)
* Bright, airy room with two windows and built-in wardrobes with full length mirrors
* Comes with a parking permit – a huge bonus in central Bristol

The flat:

* Shared living room, kitchen and bathroom
* Clean, comfortable and well-kept home environment
* Lovely views and a peaceful setting
* Shared wraparound garden

Length of stay:
I’m looking for someone initially for a 6-month let, with the option to continue on a rolling basis afterwards. After the initial period, there would be a one-month notice period from either side.

I would also consider a shorter-term let for the right person and circumstances, so feel free to get in touch if you’re looking for something more flexible.

About the household:
I’m a 35 year old female looking for a female flatmate. I enjoy cycling, being outdoors, exploring Bristol, and having a balance of quiet evenings at home and socialising. I’m looking for someone who is friendly and considerate, but who also values having a peaceful home.

I work from home 9-5 most days, so I’m ideally looking for someone who works or studies outside the home some of the time. I like to keep the flat clean and tidy, and I’m looking for someone who will appreciate and look after the space too.

Unfortunately I’m not able to accept applications from people with pets, but I have a young spaniel called Dougie, who is a very friendly, adorable bundle of fun (with the occasional puppy chaos!).

Looking for a lodger who is:

* A Postgraduate student or young professional
* Works/studies away from home most days
* Friendly, tidy and considerate
* Looking for a comfortable home rather than a party flat
* Happy living with a dog
* Comfortable with meat being cooked in the kitchen (although I have no dietary preferences for the person renting the room)

A few house preferences:
This is a lodger arrangement in my home, so I’m looking for someone who enjoys a friendly but respectful living arrangement.

I occasionally have a friend stay over, but this is rare (usually just one night). I would always give advance notice, and they would sleep in the living room. I also occasionally have friends over for dinner, but this is not a regular occurrence.

I’m comfortable with the lodger having occasional visitors, but I’m looking for someone who is happy with partners not regularly visiting or staying overnight, as I’d like to keep this as a one-person lodger arrangement.
