Short term Double Room with (mostly) own bathroom

We are a quiet, easy-going creative couple living in a terraced family home. Since all our children have flown the nest, we like to welcome temporary lodgers from time to time. We’ve really enjoyed hosting lodgers in the past and have made some long-lasting friendships along the way. An ideal stay would be 3–4 months, though we have been known to extend when it feels right and circumstances align. We’re friendly and sociable, while also being respectful of people’s personal space. We are vegetarian/pescatarian and while we don’t mind the occasional piece of meat in the fridge, we would prefer it to be well sealed.

The ground floor features a large, extended kitchen/diner which works well as a shared living and social space and opens directly onto the garden. There is also a separate living/TV room.

We sleep on the top floor, and have our own en-suite. The middle floor includes the furnished double bedroom for rent (with desk, large wardrobe and drawer space), a music room, and a single bedroom. The single room is used occasionally by visitors, so the bathroom on that floor is generally quiet and only lightly used.

We are both musicians and sometimes practise or teach in the music room during the day, though this can be kept quite low-volume. He often gigs and may return late, but is very quiet when coming home. She works from home 2–3 days a week and commutes to London regularly. The final (and very important) resident is Boris, our extremely friendly (for that read ‘needy’) cat.
Would suit a mature, gentle/friendly, clean/tidy person.
