Room in Homely, Creative House Share

Hi everyone 🌱✨

We are Nabi, Rose and Lucy (aged 25-29) and we're looking for a fourth long-term housemate to join us - ideally in your late 20s to early 30s.

We are creative and spiritual people who value our home as a sanctuary and would love someone to join us who shares these values too.

At home, we enjoy decorating (the house needs more of this right now), cooking and cosy nights in drawing, listening to music and chatting. We are busy with our own interests, jobs and friends, but we also really value our connection with each other. We regularly end up spending evenings in the living room together, where we often find ourselves in deep conversation 🌕✨ (Other times, we are too exhausted to talk much at all, but still enjoy each other's quiet company!)

We are looking for someone who would consider this their relatively long-term home (at least no existing plans to move on), and who would share the desire to create a beautiful home together - by taking care of the place and being part of the friendly, homely atmosphere.

Our Values:

We value peace, quiet, mutual-respect, kindness and a beautiful, clean space to live in. We're also music lovers, so we do play music at reasonable hours and at reasonable volumes. Nabi occasionally plays the guitar and Rose compulsively sings sometimes - no one has complained about this so she assumes it's okay but should double check 🙃
Generally, it is a quiet house (not a party house) and we would like to keep it that way, but with the freedom for more liveliness when the mood strikes.

Cleanliness is extremely important to us and it is really essential that you are willing to fully participate in cleaning - we have a cleaner twice a month (£15 per person per month), and on the other two weeks we clean the smaller tasks in pairs.

We'd also like to mention that Rose is currently managing post-covid ME, so it’s important that anyone living here is understanding and accommodating of that - it does not really affect others in the house, but it's important to be mindful of things like her short chatting capacity and low immunity. She is nevertheless a warm, friendly presence in the house, and enjoys chatting when able.

The Room:

• Size: It’s a large room with enough space for dancing and yoga and potentially even a couch!
• Part-furnished: Large built-in wardrobes; bed if needed. Fluffy cream carpet if desired.

Other areas:

• Warm, cosy living room
• Bathroom with bath and shower
• Decent-sized, sunny kitchen
• Huge, sunny garden - in need of some tidying up, but we love the naturey feel of it as it is and plan to work on making it more beautiful together as a house 💛🌿

Location:

The house is well-located, with a bus-stop just outside the house. Gloucester road shops are accessible in 10 minutes by bus and the centre is accessible in about 35 minutes by bus - or 10 minutes by bike and 15-20 minutes by car.

Costs:

• Rent: £562.50 per month
• Bills: about £130 – £170/month, covering energy, water, internet, council tax and cleaner.
• Deposit: £702.50 - please note, the amount stated on the website is incorrect and could not be changed. Date of paying the deposit can be adapted for the right person.

Contract:

This is a mid-tenancy move-in, so you'd be replacing our housemate, Lee, while his name remains on the contract until April 1st. At that point you'll be able to sign a new contract with the rest of us for another year. More details can be explained in person!
