Description
I'm looking for someone to move into the spare double room in the two-bedroom flat that I'm renting. I have lived here for over a year with my partner but we recently separated so he is moving out.
The room is large and has street-facing bay windows which let in plenty of light. From the furnishings seen in the images, the 2x chests of drawers, the wardrobe and the mirror will stay in the room. There are also built-in wall mounted shelves which will be cleared for you.
However, there is no bed so you will have to bring your own bed/mattress. (!) I can help with finding them if needed.
Living with me is my cat Ziggy - so liking cats is a must for any potential flatmates! He is very cuddly and may want to spend some time in your room as well. He is an indoor cat so it will be important to take care not to let him outside by accident.
There is a shared living room with a large TV which you will be very welcome to use. Also within the living room is my desk & computer which I don't use very often but I do play games on some evenings or work from home occasionally.
The kitchen has a gas hob/oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine. We also have a big garden with a seating area.
I'm renting privately from a landlady who has been incredibly supportive and responsive to any issues raised throughout our tenancy. This is a ground floor flat; there are 3 lovely students living in the flat above and we only share the front garden/bin storage area and the front door/hallway. It's a great location - our road is just off Gloucester road - so while our road is quiet, bustling shops, cafes and transport links are just a minute's walk away. There are great bus connections to the centre as well as to Filton/UWE - both are ~25mins away. Nearest shops are Lidl, ALDI and Coop, as well as loads of local independent shops such as Better Food and Preserve. Bills - gas, electricity, water and internet amount to about 150-200 per month which we’ll split equally.
I’m looking for someone who will enjoy hanging out by sharing dinner or watching something together on some evenings but I don’t expect constant socialising and I enjoy having my own space and alone time.
about me: I’m a 23 year old neuroscience PhD student working on my project full time so I’m out most days til the evening. I am neurodivergent, I LOVE listening to music and going to gigs, sustainability, nature walks and exploring Bristol and I’d like to live with someone likeminded :)
The room will be free from November 24th and I’m looking for someone to move in by the start of December. message me telling me a bit about yourself to arrange a viewing on a weekday evening or on the weekend!
