Description

Large double room in a quiet, warm, relaxed house with the live-in-homeowner. Looking for a lodger to co-habit with.

ABOUT THE HOUSE:
The house has a nice feel to it and is open plan downstairs. It’s pretty minimal, light and peaceful. It was completely renovated over the last few years so the kitchen and bathroom etc are brand new and everything works well. There’s a big back garden (that needs a bit of love…) with lots of birdsong.

The room comes with a double bed, desk, built-in wardrobes and shelves. Flexibility on furnishings if you have some of your own.

Small storage in the loft or shed.

ABOUT THE LOCATION:
Less than 10 mins walk to Purdown and Stoke Park for some great green space. On the 24 bus route and about 15 mins walk to Gloucester Road routes, or Ashley Down train station, or 25 mins walk to Filton Abbey Wood. Free on-street parking.

ABOUT ME:
You would be sharing with me, Lucy, the home owner. I am 44 and work for myself in sustainability learning and development. I’m pretty easy going, kind, a touch of nerd, love to cook and feed, jokes, like being active eetc. I do bit’s of volunteering am interested in psychology/philosophy/ethics, love cycling and a sense of adventure, finding humour (surreal and silly edge).

I’m usually out every day at work, and a few evenings a week at choir or other stuff, and am usually away for work for a day or two or visiting friends/family a few times a month.

WHO I AM LOOKING FOR:
Someone low-key who I can co-habit with. Share dinner, cups of tea and a bit of tv etc… No expectation to be super sociable, but it would be nice to live communally a bit. There is a spare double room for occasional visitors.

Would suit a mature student or working professional. Good location for UWE, Southmead Hospital etc.

Okay to work from home some, but not all of the time.

No cut off age for the right person, but guessing mid-30s+ approx. Looking for someone with a sleep rhythm something like 10/11pm - 6/7am ish, so I'm afraid this isn't the right house for night-owls.

Must be pro-LGBT+ as I am a queer woman.

Also open to someone wanting to stay 4-5 nights a week only.

Someone who is respectful of maintaining the space, and is happy to chip in on routine jobs (ie: don’t wait for me to change a lightbulb…).

NB: The house is co-owned, but the other owner doesn’t live here but may from time to time stay in the third bedroom. This is Ingrid, 40, a super warm person who lives away from Bristol most of the time.
