Description
Posted on behalf of my housemate who is looking for my replacement, if interested please message and I will pass you on to him :)
"Double bedroom available in a bright, quirky three-bedroom, two-storey flat just off Gloucester Road in North Bristol. It’s a great location — roughly between Airbus, Southmead Hospital and within easy reach of UWE. The neighbourhood is peaceful, just down from Millennium Green, with free parking outside.
I’m Mark, 44, working full-time (and often out a couple of evenings a week). I’m looking for an emotionally mature, kind and considerate professional to share the flat on a long-term basis. This isn’t just a room to rent from me — I’m hoping to find the right person to co-create a comfortable, harmonious home together, especially if we get along well.
The flat isn’t huge, but it’s bright, airy and has a warm, lived-in feel. The available room is a small unfurnished double (around 10ft square), ready for you to make your own. The shared spaces are furnished and mostly set up with my things, though I’m open to adjusting them so it feels balanced for us both. As the communal areas are already furnished, it suits someone who doesn’t need to bring lots of additional furniture.
The most important member of the household is my cat, who I absolutely adore. He’s gentle, curious, slightly mischievous and very sweet. It’s important to me that you genuinely love cats and would enjoy forming a bond with him — not just living alongside him. Since I’m out at work during the day and sometimes in the evenings, someone happy to give him a bit of company would be wonderful.
A little about me: I’m relaxed, thoughtful and fairly quiet. I enjoy music, board games, singing, painting, hiking and reading — and I’m a keen fencer, so you may spot the occasional sword around. I’m pescatarian, so living with someone who doesn’t cook a lot of meat would be a plus. I’m independent and naturally settle into a peaceful rhythm at home, so I appreciate someone secure in themselves too — warm and friendly, but happy doing their own thing.
Rent is £525 per month plus bills (around £600 total).
Available from 1st May.
I’m hoping to find someone who:
Is emotionally mature and communicative
Enjoys a calm home rather than a party house
Has their own interests and independence
Values kindness, respect and ease at home
If this sounds like your kind of place, I’d love to hear a little about you."
