Double room available in Kingswood

Hi!

I have a room available to rent from 18th October but possibly sooner (just waiting for final move out date from my lodger) and there is a small spare bedroom so some extra flexibility for the right person if they need to move before my current lodger has moved out. The photos on here are recent but the video was taken about a year ago when I was doing an ad for my previous lodger who sadly got a a new job and has moved away from Bristol. I haven't had time to update the video but it gives you an idea of the layout of the house.

I'm 43 years old and I work Mon-Wed as the Director of Inclusion for a trust of schools called Educate Together Academy Trust. They have schools in Bath, Bristol, Keynsham, Weston Super Mare and Swindon so I travel between them and sometimes work from home. On my days off, I sometimes go away to see friends and family or I'll be chilling at home and catching up with people in Bristol. I'm also really into music so spend a lot of time playing, writing songs and singing with a Bristol based choir called Murmurations. Ideally, I would like to find someone who doesn't work from home on Thursday and/or Fridays so I can do music stuff without disturbing someone working from home but my main priority is finding someone who I get on with and so if you do work from home on either of those days and are interested in the room, please get in touch and we can have a chat to see if we can make something work.

I'm fairly independent but would hope whoever moves in could also become a friend and we could hang out from time to time. I also really want the house to feel like a home for whoever is there.

The rent is £650 per month which includes bills and the cost of a cleaner who comes twice a month. Really sorry but I can't accommodate couples or pets (I have allergies).

The house...
It's a 3 bedroom house. Here are the main details:

Lounge: I have a SMART TV with Amazon Prime and then I alternate between a NOW TV account and Netflix to avoid paying for everything all at once. I use the lounge as an office space on the days when I'm working from home (max 2 days a week) but there is space to hang out in the kitchen/dining area as well.

Kitchen and dining area: Fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, small dining table which can extend if guests come round.

Garden area with decking and table and chairs

Garage at the back - can store things like a bicycle here.

Parking space at the back. In the video, I think I mention sharing the space but I have Fibromyalgia and symptoms have worsened recently so I have decided to save the parking space for personal use but finding a parking space on the street has never been a problem for previous lodgers and there is space on the drive way to park if there was ever difficulty with a space - it would just mean my car would be blocked in so we would need to coordinate in the morning if I was leaving first.

Bathroom: Has overhead shower and hand held shower, bath and toilet. It's small but there is lots of storage space for us both.

Bedroom available: Has double bed and two bedside tables. There is a cupboard with three shelves and hanging space. You're welcome to bring any additional bits of furniture you choose.

The bus stop for the number 42 is less than 5 mins from the house and the number 43 bus is about 8 mins. Kingswood centre is about 30 mins walk. The Bristol/Bath cycle path is about 8 mins cycle away..
