Mezzanine room in cosy east Bristol house

Double mezzanine room available in a friendly, tidy East Bristol home. The room comes furnished with a built-in mezzanine double bed and new mattress, built-in wardrobe and storage, chest of drawers, small sofa, large desk, chair and lamp.

The house is colourful, quirky and has some lovely old features. I like to keep a calm, clean space. There are 2 bathrooms, a snug, a dining/living room and a galley kitchen. The garden is a little slice of joy and has a shed to store outsidey/big things. There is space for bikes to be locked outside the front of the house, and also in the back garden.

The house is a 10min walk to Troopers Hill, 10 mins walk to Kingswood high street, 20mins to Conham River and 20mins to St George’s park. There’s a bus stop at the top of the road with regular buses to town. The local Co-op is a 5mins walk. Our neighbours are great.

I’m the live-in landlord and bought/renovated the place in 2018. I’m 33, she/her and a full time child therapist in North Somerset. I love adventures, design, poetry and cooking. I share the home with my friend whose 36, she/her and works in the wellness sector and as a massage therapist. She likes yoga, reading and studying, and working on side hustles. We also share with my tabby cat, Otto, who’s chatty, and loves a lap and a stroke.

We both like festivals and dancing, nature and taking care of ourselves. Outside of work we can often be out in the days/evenings, but when we’re in, we like chats with tea, eating the odd meal together and following a decent series. We have people round for food and hangs occasionally.

We’re looking for someone respectful, friendly, tidy and who who wants to live in a nice home rather than just a place to sleep or work. If you like to dabble in the garden, even better!

We’re ready for someone to move in from the beginning of July. We’d need to meet you before then 😊
