Creative calm space

A furnished double room in a shared house is available from now, 20/09/2026.

Rent is £625 + Gas and Elec.
At the moment this will be an additional £38.34, with the total rent at £663.64 and may go up or down due to the tariff we are on with Octopus Energy.

The room is currently furnished with a wardrobe, IKEA 'Kallax' unit and a double bed, but I am happy to change anything for you if you need.

Info:
My partner (and cat, Anya) and I currently live in the house, but we are planning to move out and lease all the rooms in the next three months. The 3 to 6 month tenancy gives you the flexibility to move out during this time, extend your tenancy, or switch to our larger room if you like!

Our household:
We live in a relaxed, creative space - however, being millennials, nu-metal and rave music do blast out occasionally, but because we are old now, this doesn't last too long, and we go to bed early.

I have just started a course at Black Mountain in Wales to study Regenerative Horticulture, and am away for 3 days a week. I will be around for the rest of that time, using the house to study and relax.
I also make music and have a small studio space in the house for it.
My partner is freelancing (immersive theatre) at the moment and will be in and out of the house.
Our third housemate, who doesn't pay any rent and just looks cute, Anya (our cat), is a hypoallergenic breed, for anyone who is concerned about getting itchy!

You:
We would like a housemate who is easy-going, warm, and neurodivergence-compassionate! Someone who is at peace with a bit of mess but also happy to use their initiative to help keep the space clean.
Both of us are happy for friends to come round and for the occasional party (when it suits).
Open to anyone studying, professionals or freelancers to live here. There would be a reduction in students' rent due to the council tax.
Liking cats is probably helpful, as Anya is quite a sociable and curious cat, with her toys being very much a part of the space.
The expectation is relaxed for how sociable you would like to be - there would be no pressure for you to join us in everything, To mindfully connect and coexist in a shared space is good enough!

- Open to couples (G&E bill could change)
- There is another large room downstairs open to use (this is being sorted out)
- Upstairs studio/ office will be open to renting once sorted out
- One bathroom with a shower and bath
- Garden with two vegetable patches at the back of the house, with a shed
