Hello! I'm looking for a nice lodger to move into a converted Victorian flat on a quiet and pretty street in Upper Knowle with free on-street parking (Selworthy Road).

The room:
A bright, spacious, and quiet double at the back of the house overlooking the gardens. It's furnished with a double bed and comfy, firm mattress, a set of 4x3 box shelves with storage boxes (new ones being delivered!), a bed side table (and lamp if you want it), a double hanging rail, desk and chair, and an antique bureau desk for extra storage. I have a spare double duvet if you'd like to use it.

Shared kitchen:
With induction hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, and a decent selection of crockery / pans / cooking stuff you're welcome to use. You'll have a big double cupboard to yourself to store stuff, and the fridge/freezer will be shared.

Bathroom:
With a pretty good shower, bath, and a shared cupboard.

Landing:
With a ceiling mounted clothes hanger / drier (I've also got a couple of fold out driers if we need extra space but the ceiling mounted one is large enough for a big wash).

Loft / storage:
The loft is boarded with lots of space for storage where you're welcome to put stuff.

Location:
The flat is within 5 minutes walk from Redcatch Park and Community Gardens, Arnos Court Park and Cemetery, Wells Road with lots of shops and bus routes, a handy corner shop that seems to stock everything, Jubilee Swimming Pool, and The Knowle Pub. Tesco Extra and big Sainsburys are both about 15 minutes walk, and Temple Meads is 25 minutes walk or a quick bus ride.

Included:
- Water, electricity, gas, and fast broadband (250mbps).
- I'm exempt from paying council tax as I'm currently a fulltime student - so, this isn't included. This means the room would suit a student / someone else council tax exempt. Otherwise we would change the price to cover your council tax with a single person discount (which would be £108 a month).
- Toilet paper / cleaning stuff etc.
- As much oat and soy milk as you can drink from the plant milk maker.
- You're welcome to get on whatever screening platform I have at the time (currently Netflix).

Duration:
I'm looking to rent the room for the next 6 months. After that I'm hoping to go travelling for 4-6 months so there may be the option to stay on with another lodger or to rent the whole flat out. I'd be happy to consider short term lets with an adjusted price if the room doesn't otherwise get snapped up (contact me to discuss).

Flat mate:
You'd be sharing with me (Adam!) - I'm a 37M Public Health Doctor in the final stages of a fulltime PhD at the University of Bristol. I'm chill and generally sociable although alas spending a lot of time writing at the moment - womp. Interests include hiking / bouldering / calisthenics and gym / running / festivals and gigs / travelling / board games / spending too much time watching Netflix and playing the PS4. I work from home sometimes and otherwise head into uni.

You!
Obviously the flat isn't a massive space to share - so it would work best if you're respectful and not looking for somewhere to have a rave. Other than that I'm easy - whilst it would be wonderful if you have similar interests and would sometimes want to hang out / eat together. I'm a vegan - great if you're veggie or vegan too but certainly not a dealbreaker. No worries if you're someone who works from home - it's a good setup for it as it's quiet and the internet is fast and reliable. As mentioned, the room would suit a student or someone else council tax exempt as it will be cheaper for you.

Other stuff:
- Happy to consider a couple with an adjusted price (contact me to discuss!)
- Also happy to consider pets (actually I'd love it if you have a dog...!) - but obvs no garden!
- Unfortunately there's nowhere to store a bike in the flat - there are bike hangers about 8 minutes walk away you can rent out (but there may be a waiting list).
- Smokers welcome - but alas no smoking in the flat (sorry!) - vaping fine!
