Spacious room in period town house

We are looking for a sociable, tidy, environmentally-minded and cat-loving person to live in our spacious room in a friendly, three-storey, period townhouse in wonderful Montpelier. The room would suit a professional looking for a comfortable, quiet and friendly place, close to the city centre and Gloucester road areas. It is available on both a Monday to Friday and 7-day a week basis.

Our house is within easy walking distance of the city centre (5 to 10 minutes) and Gloucester Road (5 minutes), Bristol University and Bristol Royal Infirmary (15 to 20 minutes). There is a great selection of shops, restaurants, delicatessens and cafes nearby and access to and from the M32 is just 3 minutes away.

Your airy room is on the top floor, with two large windows that give a good view of Montpelier's signature coloured houses and neighbours’ gardens. You have a period fireplace and your own walk-in wardrobe. You are opposite the bathroom which has a toilet, washbasin and bath with built-in shower and plenty of space and shelving for your toiletries. The combi-boiler provides hot water on demand so no need to worry about unexpected cold showers! The living room connects to the kitchen, providing a lovely, welcoming, social space. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. You are welcome to use our small, sunny, front and back gardens that we share with our neighbour in the separate, ground-floor flat. Help with the planting, weeding and watering is welcome too.

Who are we? Our household is made up of two adults and a lovely cat called Obi. We are all interested in reading, writing, growing stuff,, film, music and food, so having someone who can share these interests would be an added bonus.

Council Tax, TV licence, water, gas, broadband and electricity bills are included, subject to reasonable use.

Rent is £895 per month for single occupancy, charged one month in advance with a security deposit of £895. We ask for two months' notice to move on. The room is largely furnished. You can bring your own bed or we can supply one - your choice!
