Hello! I'm looking for a friendly new lodger for my maisonette in Montpelier from early November, for an initial 3 month let.
My place is just up the hill from the Star & Garter - so it's just a 5-10 minute walk in any direction to all the amenities/fun/food around Picton Street/Stokes Croft, Gloucester Road and St Werburgh's. It's a really friendly street with lovely neighbours and lots of community spirit.
Situated on a hill, the house has amazing south-facing views across Bristol to the Mendips, and has a big terraced garden with space to relax, BBQ and nurture some vegetables! At 90m2 and split across two levels the maisonette is generously sized for two people and has been recently refurbished.
A breakdown of the rooms:
- The bedroom - Large double and comes furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers and mirror wardrobe.
- Bathroom - good sized bathroom with shower and bath.
- Guest/spare room. Double sofa bed and available for any guests you invite to stay!
- Living room/kitchen - Large open-plan space with extending dinner table, real wood fire, cosy sofas, and an abundance of light. Kitchen has lots of storage and surfaces, including island.
- Utility room (basement) - includes washing machine/tumble drier, sink, cupboards and large freezer.
- Workshop (basement) - workbench for carpentry and bike maintenance. Lots of space for storage too.
About me! I'm 36, work for a biodiversity consultancy and am completing my MSc in Wildlife Conservation at the beginning of December. I enjoy cycling, carpentry, gardening, climbing, nights out and going on plenty of weekend adventures with pals.
I can be pretty flexible with house viewing times/dates so please get in touch if you'd like to have a look around. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you! My plans for 2025 are unconfirmed, so I'm not able to offer more than 3 months at the moment, but this has the potential to be extended, depending on my plans.
