Description

One brilliant flatmate wanted for short term let in beautiful two-bed Georgian maisonette with large garden and an affectionate cat.

Double room, for single occupancy, from 1st February. I'm looking for a happy, tidy professional for a short term let, for three months - Feb, March and April. The landlords are selling up. The room is mostly furnished (a bed and a chest of drawers) but if you have your own we can work round that

The house has an unusual (but totally charming) layout. Entering through a communal hall (great for bike storage) there are two bedrooms opposite each other - yours is at the front of the house, the other is at the back. Downstairs, there’s a big open plan living and kitchen space, plus a bathroom. And then a huge garden.

**Your room**
Your room is large and light. It’s on the ground floor and at the front of the house, so you do hear some street noises. The glass in the windows is frosted so no-one can see in.

**The rest of the house**
The first room you get to downstairs is the ‘snug’. Big red sofa, digital piano, nice lighting, TV screen. Cosy vibes. Behind that curtain on the left is a sort of tunnel that’s under the pavement above - we use it for storage.

Continuing down a few more steps you get to a large open room - kitchen on the right, living area on the left. Lots of space. Brilliant Smeg range cooker and big Bosch fridge/freezer in kitchen.

Round the corner is the bathroom - with a cavernous bath.

Then through the kitchen is an amazing garden. Loads of light on the decking. Loads of space.

**The neighbourhood**
It’s really nice round here. If you like shopping locally, you’re in for a treat. There’s a wholefood shop just round the corner, and an incredible Italian deli that’s been here since the 80’s. Gloucester Road is 10 mins walk away. I walk or cycle everywhere.

The house is opposite a junior school, which has pros. It gives the area a nice safe vibe and there’s lots of traffic calming measures in place.

We’re also opposite the Montpelier Health Centre and a pharmacy. There are several great pubs within walking distance.

**About me**
My name is Lucy, I’m 41 and I work in sustainability. I sometimes work from home (there’s a little office space in my room) - it varies quite a lot depending what I’ve got on.

I’m pretty eco-minded. Not a veggie, but I don’t eat much meat. I love cooking - lots of dried pulses and beans, homemade kombucha and sauerkraut. Weekly veg box. That sort of thing. Eco-friendly products - not a big fan of heavy handed chemicals.

I’m outdoorsy and really into my fitness. I tend to go to bed early and get up early. I read a lot, I’m crafty, I play the piano badly (plugged into headphones so you won’t hear). Love good chats, love being social, love being in a shared space, but definitely need lots of quiet alone time too.

I have a cat called Poppy who is the most affectionate/needy creature you will ever meet. She’s no trouble, apart from wanting lots of cuddles and occasionally bringing me presents.

**About you**
I’m looking for a happy, tidy, thoughtful professional. Probably in your 30s or 40s. Someone who's environmentally minded, is okay to feed the cat if I’m away and likes gardening and getting out into nature.
