Description
Hello! We are Charlie, Gabrielė and Tiiva and we are currently looking for a new housemate to join our house in Montpelier, as our current housemate (Firas) is moving away! One, small, double room is available from 1st February. Sounds good? Read on!
About the house:
What a location! Near a train station? TICK. Near two great pubs? TICK. Near a dodgy local shop? TICK. Near a swanky restaurant? TICK. Near an Italian deli? TICK. Near two types of Indian food purveyors? TICK. Near a little park in which we definitely didn’t once have our own private firework display at 2am? TICK. What’s that? How long does it take to walk into town? 10-15 minutes, depending on leg length/walking speed. I KNOW! What more could anyone want? Oh yes, there’s a kitchen, a massive living room/dining room combo, utility room, downstairs toilet and spacious upstairs toilet/bathroom/shower set up. And handy stairs/corridors linking all these amazing spaces together. And a small garden. And a roof. And doors and windows. Usual house stuff. If you have a car, you can fight for the communal off-road parking spaces outside.
About the room:
It is a small double with a window overlooking the garden and is available unfurnished. Rent is £600 pcm (1st of each month). Bills are additional and are currently £110 pcm (broadband, water, electricity, gas, TV licence, contents insurance, toilet paper (!) and council tax (we're Band D)).
About the housemates:
We are Charlie, Gabrielė and Tiiva. Charlie works (mostly) from home doing something boring with magazines and noodling on guitar, Gabrielė photographs, works with people in recovery, is very curious and loves a good brainpicky chat, and Tiiva is an electronic musician and producer (during normal working hours, so no late night beat sessions! Check out their incredible music on Spotify!) We like things like comedy, music, theatre, films, anthropology, photography, art and politics, riding bicycles, eating, drinking, breathing … all the usual things people do, including playing instruments plugged into amps but only at sociable hours (join the jam if you can). We hang out together, we do our own things – we’re a well-oiled house sharing machine looking for another cog to slot into our mechanism. That’s just a metaphor, not some kind of weird euphemism.
About you:
You will like the sound of the above. You will be looking for somewhere to call home. You will be older than 30 but younger than 120. You will be male, female or non-binary and of any sexual orientation. You will be from anywhere. You will need some kind of job to keep the letting agents happy, but any kind of job will do. Except maybe career politician, or investment banker, but frankly we’d be very surprised if you were in either of those professions and looking to live in a house share in Bristol.
If this sounds like you, what are you waiting for? We're doing viewings early January - EMAIL US NOW.
