I am Michael, 29 years old and have been living in this flat with my roommate since I moved to Bristol 2 years ago. Sadly he will be moving in with his partner, which has made a fantastic room available.
I am 29 years old and work in engineering as a project manager. I work from the office 4-5 days a week. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, going to the gym, socialising and trying new food with friends and learning new languages!
The room is available from the 1st August 2026. The flat is a basement, though it gets lots of light and the conservatory/garden is at ground level. There are 2 doubles rooms, 2 bathrooms (with one shared shower), a spacious open living area & kitchen, a small conservatory and garden. The location is brilliant, just off Whiteladies but tucked away for quietness. Luckily in 2 years we have only ever had a few very minor standard issues and the landlord was quick to fix.
The current rent is £850 per person p/m excluding bills, and bills vary between £150-£200 per person p/m. If you drive you will have to park on the street which requires a permit, but I will see if we can substitute my existing flatmates permit. My flatmate will transfer council tax, water, electricity/gas etc into my name before he leaves so that end is covered.
With the new laws in place I believe the deposit will be £850 and it will be a rolling monthly contract - just waiting for the landlord to confirm via the letting agent. FYI I have been on a rolling monthly contract since Nov 2024.
Cleanliness is very important, my flatmate and I have busy lives but we do stay on top of the house/kitchen etc.
