Description
Hi all, myself (Hester) and 2 housemates (Cissy and Emily) are currently looking for a new housemate to replace our dear friend who’s sadly leaving to move in with her partner.
🏡 About the flat
The flat is a lovely two-storey maisonette on North Street in the heart of Southville, right next to Tobacco Factory and a 3 min walk to Greville Smyth park. It used to be two separate flats, now combined into a single maisonette above a shop. This means that we have 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms between the four of us! The new housemate will share a kitchen (the one labelled '1st floor kitchen' in the photos) with Emily - she’s veggie so someone veggie/vegan is her preference but not a dealbreaker. If you have a car, there’s free on-street parking on the side roads surrounding the flat.
🛌 About the room
The room up for grabs is a small (but cosy and bright) double room, with a big window looking out on to North Street. Whilst the room will come unfurnished (the furniture in the photos, including the bed, will be removed) there is a built-in cupboard/storage space that will remain. The rest of the flat is fully furnished by us already.
📝 About us
The three of us are young professionals in their mid-20s working in sustainability, consultancy and film production. We all work from home a lot, and sometimes co-work in the living room or at Tobacco Factory if we fancy the company. We like to have our own space but equally enjoy catching up in the communal areas when we’re feeling sociable. We like to think we’re pretty easy to live with - we appreciate the place being tidy and clean, but we are not overly strict about it. We like to go out sometimes (mainly to the pub with mates at the weekend) and often have friends over in the evenings but we’re always careful to be conscious of noise. We have the odd house party which is the only exception to this! Aside from that we’re big wild swimming fans and between the 3 of us like crafty stuff / running / yoga / films, those kinda things.
📌Who we’re looking for
We’d be keen to find another young professional in their 20s (preferably female or non-binary) to move in with us. We’re all pretty chilled and easy-going and are looking for someone who would be the same. Someone who’s clean and tidy but not too stressy about it would be ideal. The 3 of us are all pretty independent people with our own things going on, but we’re all mates and would love for the new housemate to slot into this dynamic.
We’re keen to meet people quickly as we’re all away at various points over the next few weeks. The room will be available from mid to late September (exact date to be confirmed) so move in date is flexible (but before 14th October if possible).
💰Rent & bills
We rent from a private landlord we found through OpenRent. He’s nice, reliable and lives locally so easy to get in touch with.
Rent: £625 per month, excluding bills
Bills (water, electricity, council tax band B, WiFi): Around £105 per person per month (energy bills vary a lot through the seasons though).
Drop me a message if you’re interested!
