Description
Hello! I’m Lewis, I’m 34 and I’m looking for a Good Egg to join me in a little house in Southville.
It’s a decent little house on a quiet cul-de-sac between the top of Stackpool Road and North Street. The room (and house) isn’t huge, but the room is at the back of the house and comes with a recent, comfy double bed and mattress, plus a few optional bits (clothes rails, side table, maybe a desk if needed).
There’s lots of real wood throughout, some auction-find furniture, a small outdoor space at the back, and it’s a good spot for getting down to the harbourside or North Street.
Home for me is a relaxed, calm space. I’ve been here just over a year. I’m very comfortable in my own company, and I’ll usually head out to see friends, so it’s important to have a grounded and calm place to come back to. I’ve lived in all sorts of shared setups, as well as on my own, and I really value co-living that has emotional awareness, open communication (happy to schedule regular vibe-checks), and a healthy balance between independence and getting on well together.
Work-wise I split my time between the sauna world, some bike stuff, and bits of design/fabrication work, so a mix of practical work and community-focused projects. Outside of that I’m probably on my bike, at the sauna, or tinkering with little projects.
Naturally queer-friendly and neurodivergent-informed, other than someone magically appearing and slotting seamlessly in I’m really just looking for someone kind, considerate, and grown-up about sharing a space. I do have a few bikes that live inside, worth mentioning in case that’s a dealbreaker. Obvs the other side of that coin is that it’s a bike-friendly home.
I’m very very open to this being a short-term or part-time situation, and would probably prioritise that; maybe you need a quiet place for a while, or are in Bristol for work a few days a week. Happy to figure something out, and if it’s all good then open to longer term! It’s probably not an ideal setup for someone who works from home often, or someone chasing a busy, super-social home environment.
The room is £650 plus bills (Band B). I’m flexible on move-in date, finding the right fit matters more than rushing. There isn’t loads of space for extra furniture, but plants and nice prints are very welcome.
If this sounds like it might suit you, please send a bit about you, your work patterns, how long you might be looking to stay, anything practical worth knowing or accommodating for, and what you’re looking for in a home - and whether this feels like it might be an authentic fit.
