Double Room & Bathroom in exchange for assistance

My father is 88 and in need of a little help, company and assistance in exchange for free board in a double bedroom with own bathroom.

THE HOUSE
A spacious detached four-bed house with a double garage and garden situated on the outskirts of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

Great communications to London and only a couple of miles from the town centre.

Broadband also included. Garden can be enjoyed with a large conservatory.

THE LANDLORD
My father is 88 years old, an ex-officer in the military with wide travel experience.

Partially sited with some hearing issues and a little unstable on his feet.

Slightly biased but he has the most amazing stories from his time in the forces and rugby background and is happy to share.

Also interested in hearing about peoples' backgrounds.

Likes his afternoon nap, enjoys cooking but needs help to see what herbs and spices to use!

THE IDEAL TENANT
Someone who is able to hold a decent conversation, enjoys a wide variety of food, ideally from a professional background and/or some nursing experience.

The tenant could be someone with a full-time or part-time job in or around the Aylesbury area.

We want someone to feel at home here with Dad.

THE DEAL
We are offering accommodation including some bills (extra council tax contribution, £10 per week for household costs and contribution towards food, etc), in exchange for helping Dad and keeping company. No physical care required.

Able to join in and help with evening meals.

We ask for roughly 15 hours per week and commit to 7 nights sleeping at home (10pm-8am).

Helping will include spending time with Dad, assistance with evening meals, light tidying up and cleaning, conversation and general company.

Doing all these things will help prevent Dad needing to go into the next stage of care and will allow him to stay in the house he loves.
