Description
A warm and friendly elderly lady with mild memory problems is seeking a Sharer for her home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She likes to be as independent as possible, but would welcome some company and conversation, plus the reassurance of someone living with her in case of an emergency. Some practical help with light cleaning/tidying, help with technology (phone/internet/WhatsApp/Zoom/Microwave etc), picking up shopping or going shopping together, cooking and eating some meals together, accompanying on some outings, such as for a meal or walk or visit to a National Trust property, and ad hoc other practical help and errands as may be useful.
The accommodation on offer is a good-seized bedroom furnished with a single bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and bedside cabinet, and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and garden.
The property is in an excellent location just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of town and from Beaconsfield station (National Rail – 30 mins to Marylebone), and 5 minutes’ drive to junction 2 of the M40. There is parking available.
The lady enjoys cooking and often has friends from church over for Sunday lunch, walking, visiting National Trust properties, reading and eating out. She has a wide range of friends and is close to her family.
As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
If you are interested, please email a little information about yourself, your hours of availability, if you can commit for at least a year, and why you are interested in, and think you may be suitable for, this share. We can then give you more details about this specific situation.
£165 per month plus contribution to household bills (£65 per month).
Council tax band – G
Available 17th April 20205
