A warm and friendly person in their 50s with Down’s Syndrome is seeking a Sharer for their home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

They would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping, cooking up to four or five meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, and most importantly, giving friendly company over the course of three or four weekday evenings, and a few hours some weekends.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom with its own bathroom (occasionally shared with visitors – the Householder has their own bathroom) and shared use of the kitchen, living space, and garden.

The property is in a lovely residential location just 8 minutes’ walk from Marlow Station and close to the centre of the town and its shops and services.

The person has lots of support and activities/social groups in place. Their interests include politics, watching TV, art, playing some board games, writing, swimming and cooking. They are warm and sociable and make friends easily. They would enjoy helping someone to cook.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
