1 double room + attic office in Stony Stratford

Hello! My name is Fi, I’m a 31 year old self-employed professional and together with my 1 year old German Shepherd, Darcy, have a spare double bedroom + converted attic office/living space available for a lodger on a 6 or 12 month basis. (Happy to consider Mon-Fri lets)

Based 30 seconds away from the beautiful Stony Stratford high street (with multiple pubs, restaurants, shops and convenience stores including a large Tesco Express a 2 minute walk away), the house is a 10 minute drive from Milton Keynes train station (30 mins into London Euston) or 7 minute drive to Wolverton train station (47 mins into London Euston). We're also surrounded by countryside and have parks and a nature reserve within a 5 minute walk.

As you can see from the photos, the house is full of character and perfect for someone seeking somewhere a bit more homely. All bills are included.

About the room:
The room comes furnished with a double bed and mattress, chest of drawers, large mirror, side table and a beautiful restored Victorian fireplace.

About the converted attic:
The room comes with a fold up desk should you wish to work up there. Alternatively, the space could be used as a separate living area which you’re welcome to furnish. There is one large storage cupboard built into the attic available to use, too.

About the house:
A 2-3 bed terrace house in Stony Stratford that’s recently been renovated. 1 shared upstairs bathroom. 1 shared downstairs toilet. Long garden at the back of the house with seating area (the garden is my current project so there will be grass soon..!) Log fire in the living room. Dishwasher. Sage coffee machine (very important..!) You'd be welcome to use all appliances, pots and pans etc...

About me:
I’m a down-to-earth, tidy, friendly person looking for someone who enjoys socialising occasionally and their own privacy. I work from home and when I’m not using my spare time to train Darcy, love running, yoga, pilates, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

About Darcy:
Darcy is my one year old German Shepherd puppy who is well trained for her age (but still very much in training so I’m out every morning and evening walking and training her) She’s a complete softie once she knows who you are. If you’re not used to GSDs unique traits though, I’d look to meet you for coffee on the high street before introducing you and showing you around.

About you:
Ideally, you’re a down-to-earth professional who doesn’t work from home full-time, but I will of course consider for the right person. I’d ask that you keep the communal areas tidy please and for obvious reasons, being ok with big dogs is a must.
