Double room

We are looking for a housemate to share our large 4-bed house (one housemate, not a couple). Cost of room includes all current bills including council tax (band D). Limited broadband available in the room itself but available throughout the house.

The double room to rent is on the back of the property overlooking the garden and is currently unfurnished, although could be furnished if needed (rent would need to be adjusted). There’s lots of natural light that comes through through the large double-glazed windows.

The house has two large living rooms with TVs, a large kitchen, utility room with washing machine, downstairs shower room and upstairs bathroom. The three of us will be sharing two fridge freezers and there’s plenty of cabinet space. There’s a decent-sized garden with a lovely grapevine pergola and decking. As we’re in a Victorian terraced house in Wolverton, there’s no driveway but there’s always on-street parking nearby.

We have three friendly dogs who will happily give you a cuddle if you let them. I’m a full-time academic and my female housemate is a manager. We like to keep a clean home so are looking for a tidy housemate who ideally enjoys a bit of socialising, watching films and enjoying meals together. If you’d prefer your own space though, that’s totally fine too. I’m veggie so would ideally prefer someone who doesn’t eat much meat or fish (or at least nothing too stinky like pork chops!), but this isn’t a deal-breaker.

Wolverton is a such great town with a brilliant community There are always great local events going on like the Scarecrow festival and Lantern parade. There’s a large Lidl and Tesco 5 minutes walk away, along with cafes, restaurants, pubs and other shops all within close walking distance. The train station is also a 10 minute walk away with direct trains to MK centre (4 mins) and London Euston (45 mins). Wolverton gym and pool is also a 10 minute walk away. And then there’s the canal and river a few minutes walk away with epic walks through the Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire countryside (I’ve done a lot of walking and running nearby!).
