Mine is a ground floor, spacious open plan Flat: living/Kitchen area, with two Bedrooms The Bath/Shower and WC are both in 1 room - Lodger will share this facility with me - but not at the same time, erhem... ;)
The one room is available for one lodger only - has a desk, double bed, good storage, and two Large post traumatic disordered, hyperactive, Yucca plants - but happily, both are now in recovery and we are all enjoying each other in a quiet supporting way. . :)
cats are known to pop in to nose about... but if you are alllllllergic, we can shoo them out.
The - £600 is all inclusive - bills all in, but you will need to pay for washing and tumble drying in the High Tech Community Laundry, or one pound to take a sauna. ;) Nice, eh?
Be Clear that:
1. YOU REALLY CAN PAY THE RENT - ON TIME.
2. YOU WORK REGULAR HOURS.
3. YOU DO CLEAR UP AFTER YOURSELF. ;)
ME: Working from home most of the time - rebuilding my work post COVID.
I used to be a party animal, but now I like to have the home quiet from about 10 pm - 7 am. Unless we have a special need to celebrate of course!
I am a tidy freak... but I have a very poor relationship with my vacuum cleaner... please take this job off my hands?
My home is sited in an urban area of Orchard Park, and is part of the newly constructed Cohousing Community in Cambridge. It's an alternative way to live, but ideally I yearn to live close to nature, but for now, urban will have to do.
There are additional facilities in our shared Common House - just yards from my patio back door:
We chose to design this community together as an alternative to the social alienation and unsustainability that our culture produces. We managed COVID well because of the shared spaces. but we are not self sufficient at all, haha.... :)
