Cute double room in friendly three bedroom house.

We have a lovely double room (single occupancy) available for someone to move in mid July. The room has a small double, wardrobe, chest of draws, bedside shelf, two large storage shelves and nice garden view.

We are two female professionals - working in music/touring and science. One housemate works mostly from home but sometimes travels, the other works mostly in the office.

The house is cosy and homely with an open plan living area. Kitchen equipped with standard amenities (please be aware there is no tumble dryer or dishwasher). Shared bathroom and extra toilet room. We have a lovely landlady who lives in the Cambridgeshire area. She’s very efficient and helpful, but also pretty flexible and relaxed as long as we’re communicative and look after the house well.

Our aim is to make sure the house is welcoming to live in and share, rather than just a random houseshare(!) It’s important to us that we find someone we get on with well, and we’d like to have a balance of being social vs having our own lives/doing our own thing. We’d love to find someone else who wants the same communal/friendly sort of balanced atmosphere and is clean/tidy/considerate - all the usual things! Both current housemates are vegan/vegetarian so another would be ideal.

We are just off Mill Road which has a thriving community and a variety of interesting cafes, restaurants and independent shops. Quiet side street in Romsey area, so not directly on Mill Road - 10 minutes walk to Sainsbury’s supermarket on Brooks Road, 20min walk/7 min cycle to Cambridge train station, and 30min walk/15min cycle to the city centre etc, so a really decent location.

FYI we currently foster cats, but don’t have one right now. Our landlady is happy with pets in the house, and we have had this in the past, so a small animal (particularly cats) would be very welcome :) Alternatively, we would ideally like to find someone who is an animal/cat lover who would be keen to be actively involved with helping look after foster kitties :)
