Double room on Mill Road from Sept

Hello! We are Kieran and Audrey, and we are looking for a friendly housemate for our ideally located, cosy Mill Road house from Sept 23rd!

Ideally a postgraduate student for council tax reasons, though we are happy to discuss splitting it in some way if we find the right person :D

I’m a professional currently but am returning to education to get my teaching qualification, and Kieran is finishing his Chemistry PhD, due to start a postdoc. I also work at Kettle’s Yard 🎨!

I did my degree in Fine Art at Oxford, and this would be Kieran’s 8th year at Cambridge (lol). 🎓🧠

This is currently a 3-bed house, 2 doubles upstairs and 1 single at the front of the house. When our current housemates leave, we hope to use the front single room as another communal space for the new tenancy. This will be in addition to the existing living/dining room. ✨✨

The house is on Mill Road, directly opposite the Royal Standard Pub and Vinery Road bus stop (as pictured).

We are a couple but enjoy living with others, so far we’ve been sharing the house with friends- one of whom is moving into college accommodation from Sept and another who is relocating out of Cambridge.

Hope to find someone that we can be genuine friends with! We like the pub, playing board games, listening to music and the radio, watching quiz shows, cooking yummy meals (and getting takeaways…🙈), football (Brighton lol), the occasional boogie, and chilling out 😌😌😌!

We have:
- 1 bathroom (with a tub)
- washing machine (no tumble dryer)
- a small study upstairs (currently used for drying clothes but certainly welcome to be better utilised)
- off street parking
- 2 fridges, 1 small freezer
- Gas stove and oven
- Walk-in storage from the living room (doubles as a ‘library’)
- Storage under the stairs for shoes and coats
- Opportunity to turn the front room (currently a single bedroom) into a communal space to work/chill
