Cosy room in friendly CB1 houseshare

Hello!

We are Kate, Matt and Joe. We're looking for a fourth housemate to join us in our lovely 4 bedroom house in CB1 when we move in at the end of August.

About the room
The house is located in Romsey, a 5 minute walk from Mill Rd in one direction and 5 mins from Coldham's Common in the other. By bike, you'll be 10 minutes from the City Centre and 5 minutes from the Beehive Centre.

The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lovely kitchen, and a gorgeous garden perfect for BBQs! There's a double living room area, with a dining table and a cosy sofa space. Your room will be upstairs, overlooking the garden. It's semi-furnished with a single bed and a wardrobe, but there's room to put in a desk and queen bed if you prefer (as the current tenant has done). There's a shed for bikes in the garden and on-street parking.

The room is £575 per month, excluding bills, which should come to around £50 a month in total :) (and then council tax on top if you're not a student, which is Band C). The tenancy is for 11.5 months, until mid-August 2025.

About us
We are good friends who previously lived together, and all currently final year PhD students. Kate (27F) studies Geography and loves playing music, Matt (25M) studies maths and is a keen golfer, and Joe (26M) is soon starting a post-doc in Chemistry and is currently obsessed with the podcast Empire. We’re all pretty busy but all pitching in to keep a tidy, clean and calm home is important to us. We love to sometimes cook meals together, go for a morning run-and-croissant before work, and make heroic but generally poor performances at pub quizzes.
