Two rooms to rent, Petersfield

Hi!

I am looking for 2 new flatmates to occupy 2 rooms in Cambridge from September 2024 (unfurnished), with a minimum income of 20 000 £ per year (a requirement of the agent).

The house is a well-cared-for 3 bedroom terraced house (council tax band: C), with shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a lovely garden with a summer house. It is located in a very friendly street in the Petersfield area, about 10 minutes walking distance to Cambridge central station, and 10 minutes bike ride to the city centre. The Beehive is just round the corner, with groceries and shops of all sorts.

There are two rooms that will become available:
- One is a smaller double room (will fit a double bed or a single bed + desk) with an ensuite bathroom (toilet and sink, no shower) and plenty of storage space (Bedroom 1 in the floorplan).
- The other room is a pretty spacious double room (Bedroom 3 in the floorplan).

The rent (£570 each room) does not include bills (£80) and council tax (£80), so in total you can expect to pay £730 per month if you’re a council tax payer.
I like keeping the house clean so I’m looking for someone who would have no problem respecting a cleaning rota.

Pets: My current housemates have a dog, so it should be OK if you want to bring a pet, though we’d need to double-check with the owner.

About me: I work as a software engineer at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI). I love cycling, hiking, music (play some guitar, flute, and percussion), I’ve been also trying to grow some veg in the garden but without much success :D
I am pretty relaxed and friendly and would be happy to watch a movie or eat together every so often, go to a gig, or grab a drink in one of the (many) local pubs.
