Loft Double Room -Monday -Friday

We have a lovely light and spacious loft room available now in our friendly home situated just 10 minutes walk from the river and centre of town. There are excellent bus connections to the town centre, central station, Addenbrookes Hospital, and the Science Park. Many local amenities are available including shops, post office, pubs and restaurants & the new development at Eddington which includes a supermarket and community centre and weekly park-run.

We have a lovely garden and side passage for safe bicycle store. The house is Victorian with many original period features and has a downstairs toilet and a family bathroom available for use in addition to a spacious kitchen and laundry facilities. We have resident parking restrictions in the street. It is a very friendly and safe neighbourhood.

I am a retired teacher and my husband works part-time sometimes from home.

We do not have pets and our main hobbies are listening to music, swimming and hill walking. We enjoy reading and travel, going to the cinema, theatre and attending music events and are fans of Cambridge folk festival!
We take an interest in current affairs and love getting together with family and friends.

The room is fully furnished with double bed, desk, fitted wardrobes, bookcase, TV and sofa. Although the room is a double, we are looking for single occupancy. We would be happy for a PhD student or Post-Doc position, NHS employee or young professional to join us in the house.
Ideally we are looking for a person who is tidy and like-minded and who would treat the house with respect and consideration. Although we like our own privacy and would respect yours, it is important to us that we establish a good rapport with our new lodger and that they would value being part of our lovely family home. References will be sought as a matter of course.
