Hello, we two people, Flora (PhD, age 29) and Kuhali (Postdoctoral researcher, age 30) are looking for a 3rd tenant (preferably female) for our 3-bedroom house at 7 Abbey Road, CB5 8HH. The current tenant is leaving mid of October 2024 and the room would be available from then for 7 months until April 2025 with a probability to extend the contract. The room is 4.13m x 3.32m, unfurnished but the current tenant will be selling all of his stuff, including a bed, and other furniture. The new tenant has to pay the deposit (£600). The bills are not included in the rent, and we are paying around £141 council tax (band D with 25% student discount), £12.83 for water, and ~£150 for electricity for the house. The electricity bill might increase during the winter. We also have Wi-Fi (£20). We have a shared living space, a kitchen (fully equipped with microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher), a small dining hall, a washing machine, one WC, and one shower with WC.
We are looking for a working professional or a PhD student (not for Master or Bachelor students) with a fixed monthly income. We are co-workers and have known each other for the past two years. We are not really party people but like to go out or cook together or have a movie night whenever we have time. For this reason, we are looking for someone with the same mindset. The tenant would need to share the work contract/contract from the university (for PhD), the previous bank statements, the Share Code, ID proof, and the reference of the previous landlord (if possible) with our landlady.
