We have a single room available in a four bedroom house in CB1 2PS.

Contract:
Length: starting 1/10/2024 (subletting can be negotiated). Contract can be extended.

Amenities:
The house has a shared living room, kitchen and garden. The kitchen has all modern appliances including an oven, dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. Two bathrooms are shared between three tenants. There is also a secure bike shed.

Location:
The house is located 2 minutes walking distance from the Beehive centre, where you can find several gyms (DW Fitness), supermarkets (ASDA & Lidl), coffee shops etc. The neighbourhood is very quiet and has two shared green spaces for walking. The house is a 5 minute cycle from Mill Road, 5 minute cycle from the train station and 5 minutes cycle from the city centre. The house is also within walking distance of Midsummer common and the river.

Current tenants:
Myself, third-year PhD student at Cambridge Uni in biochemistry.
Moritz, a fourth-year PhD student at Cambridge Uni in computational biology.
Jan, third-year PhD student at Cambridge Uni in chemistry.

Prospective tenant:
We are looking for a postgrad (Masters or PhD) housemate who is clean, fun and pays the bills. Socialising with other housemates is a plus but not a hard requirement. No smoking, pets or couples.

The room:
The single room is going for £415 pcm (excluding bills). It is furnished with a bed, bedside table and wardrobe. It has been an excellent place to live for students in Cambridge. There is very little street noise and the room does not get too hot in the summer. There are two separate storage spaces in the house so don't worry too much about space.

Bills:
Around £70 per month.
