A room has become available in a lovely terrace house situated in the peaceful and well-connected neighbourhood between Milton and Chesterton roads. It has a long garden, a traditional Victorian exterior and modern fittings inside. My current flatmate is leaving for a new job abroad, and I am looking for someone to take over the space. The room faces the back of the house, and is perfect for postdocs or postgraduates seeking a comfortable, quiet place to call home. The house has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with a housemate who appreciates a relaxed, tidy environment. The property is managed by a local Cambridge agency, with whom we have a good relationship.

The Room:
- It is quiet (facing the back of the house, upstairs).
- It came with a futon bed (now being used as a couch downstairs).
- The departing flatmate is happy to leave the double IKEA bed at a discount or take it away so you can find your own solution for the space.
- Built-in wardrobe with storage space, and a large set of drawers

The House:
- Well-equipped kitchen with all necessary amenities, including a washing machine, gas stove and oven.
- A spacious dining area joined to the kitchen
- A cosy living room with comfy seating and South-facing windows
- A shared study with a desk
- Clean and modern bathroom, shared with the only other housemate.
- Garden space for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
- Council tax band D

Location:
- Well-connected with public transport links.
- 7-minute cycle from the city centre.
- Close to local shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and Midsummer Common.

About Me:
I am a tropical ecology postdoc who appreciates a relaxed and respectful environment. I work a standard 9-6 with some early mornings for exercise. I enjoy social gatherings and music, but also value privacy and space. I am looking for someone who is tidy, considerate, and easy-going to join the home.
