Room & Office In Quiet Home - Kings Hedges Area

Hi, I’m Marianne, a 43-year-old research scientist. I rent a house in the Kings Hedges area, close to the Science Park, and my current housemate is moving on. I'm now looking for a friendly and reliable person to share my home with.

The Room:

The available room is a double with a built-in wardrobe. It comes with a double bed, but if you have your own furniture, we can easily store the bed in the garage. The house also has a shared office space, a small garden, and a garage for bike storage. Parking in the area is generally easy in this residential neighbourhood.

About Me:

I’m a fairly quiet and slightly introverted person, and while I’m not home a lot due to work/hobbies, I am an early riser (usually up by 6 am) and enjoy winding down by 10 pm. I’m into outdoor activities like cycling, swimming at the Jesus Green Lido, kayaking on the Cam (and elsewhere), and I also keep an allotment. Although I’m not exactly a fitness enthusiast, I love being outdoors and would enjoy the occasional shared activity with a housemate who has similar interests.

I’m tidy and respectful of shared spaces, though I do sometimes fill the living room with drying camping or watersports gear after a trip!

The Ideal Housemate:

I would love to share with someone who enjoys occasionally socialising or doing outdoor activities together, but won’t be put off by me needing some alone time. It’s important to me to live with someone who is respectful of each other’s space and privacy.

Rent:

£800 per month, which includes all bills.
