Double room in city centre house

Hi! We are looking for somebody to join us in our house, as our third housemate is moving out soon. The room is available any time from Feb 1st. You'd be living with two females - both working professionals.

The house is located a 5-10 minute walk from the city centre, with on-street parking. The location is great with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby, literally just a few minutes from the river.

The room is a double and comes furnished with a double bed, side table and wardrobe. It’s located on the first floor, sharing a bathroom with the other first floor occupant.

In keeping with the communal feel, all bills are split equally and we operate a shared pantry (tea, coffee, rice, pastas, cans, baking stuff, spices, etc.) to keep things simple, which works nicely. The house has 3 toilets and 2 baths/showers across 3 floors. Downstairs, we've got an open plan kitchen/living space, and an extra storage room/office to keep things tidy. We also have a garden with lots of flowers and an unhinged number of tomatoes come summer time, plus there's plenty of room for bikes out back in a secure shed. Massive bonus: there is also a dishwasher!

I've been in the house for just over 5 years now, and my housemate 8 months. We're a friendly pair. We generally like the house to be clean and uncluttered. We enjoy getting together to watch reality TV (we are keen Below Deck fans!), sharing the occasional meal and taking trips to the pub. We don't live in each other's pockets, though, and very much have our own lives outside of the house. I'm an academic, so normally out of the house 8-6 or working away a couple of nights a week in Leeds. My housemate has hybrid working, so works from home sometimes.

Note that this isn't just a faceless rental advert where we will offer the room to the first person who applies. This is our home, so we care about who ends up joining us – get in touch and tell us about yourself

PS: You'd need to be okay with dogs, as occasionally we have four-legged visitors and are hoping to get one in the near future.
