Room available in a sociable house

Our current housemate is sadly moving out of Cambridge in the end of July so we are looking for someone to take over the ground-floor double room in the south of Cambridge.

The house is a 5 minute walk to Mill Road and the centre of town is just a 10 minute cycle away. It is a house of 4 girls; the other tenants are 22-27 years old and work in education and wildlife conservation. None of us regularly work from home. We have a range of hobbies including running, doing crafts, going to the theatre and watching TV together in the evenings (our current favourite is Race Across the World). We genuinely enjoy spending time together and regularly organise to do things outside of the house. Firm favourite activities are trying out different pub quizzes, going for brunch at the weekend and finding fun things to do in the city. We are looking for someone that also wants to be friends rather than just housemates.

We are a pretty chilled house with no set rules on anything – we just like to keep the house and garden clean and tidy to make it nice to live in. The rent is £450 per month and bills tend to come to £100-£150. The deposit is £450 and the housemate is selling a bundle of furniture for £200 (bed frame and mattress, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, bookshelf, chest of drawers and curtains). The contract is a 6-month minimum tenancy and then it keeps rolling each month but the landlords are very relaxed. We have a locked shed in the garden where we all keep our bikes and there is free parking just around the corner.
