Bright Double Room in Friendly Mill Rd House 🌞

Hello!

We’re a chilled, friendly house share looking for a considerate, easy-going new housemate to join our home in one of Cambridge’s best neighbourhoods.

You’d be living with Ben and Lucy, both young professionals, and we’re now looking for a third lovely human to complete the house. We all value a relaxed, respectful atmosphere and enjoy living in a calm and homely space.

The Room
This is a bright double room at the front of the house, furnished with a bed, desk, wardrobe and bookshelf. (Please note there isn’t a bedside table or TV stand.)
Rent is £700 per month, including all bills and council tax. Wi-Fi is arranged separately and shared between housemates.

The House
There’s a small but functional kitchen, a cosy living room, one downstairs bathroom with shower, and four bedrooms in total.
We also have a garden with a secure side passage and combination lock gate, making it easy to come and go with a bike.
On-street parking is free and doesn’t require a permit.

A quick heads-up
Ben, who lives in the room above, works from home as a musician during weekday daytimes. You might hear the occasional musical moment during work hours, so this room would suit someone who works out of the house Monday to Friday.

The Location
We’re just off Mill Road on a quiet residential street. It’s a 15-minute walk to the train station and a 20-minute walk or 5-minute cycle into the city centre.
There are loads of brilliant independent restaurants, cosy pubs and local shops just around the corner. The Beehive Centre is only a 10-minute walk away, which is super handy for shopping.

One thing to mention
Like many Victorian homes in this part of Cambridge, our only bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. It doesn’t bother us at all, but we know it might not be for everyone, so just flagging that now.

We’re looking for someone who’d like to stay for at least a year, and who wants to live in a calm, respectful home. We all enjoy our own space but are always up for the occasional chat or shared meal.
