Description
Join me (22), Cara (25), and Evie (22) in our four bedroom house share off of Mill Road!
This property is in a great location, next to Grafton Centre and close to central Cambridge. It’s in a quiet family area, near some lovely pubs around and within 10 minutes walk of the river and 15 minutes from the station and the city-centre.
We are looking for a female flatmate to take over a single room in this property, starting at the beginning of October.
The room comes with a single bed, desk and storage, but can accommodate a double bed if you wish! It has loads of natural light, and we have a massive garden that we use a lot in the summer🌲
Downstairs there is a separate living/dining room and a kitchen. All white goods are included, except for a dishwasher. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The bedroom is on the first floor, and we also have a separate room for storage with a little desk.
The rent for the room is currently £500 per month excluding bills. We expect the prices to go up when we renew the lease in September, but we don’t expect it to go beyond £550. Bills typically come to £130-£140 each month. The property is suitable for a professional earning a salary, due to us having to pay council tax!
About us:
· Cara (25) 🫧– a recent MA Philosophy graduate working as an editorial assistant. She enjoys baking, quizzing and comedy, and is a part of a local orchestra and book club.
· Kat (23) 📚– recent BA philosophy graduate, working in a library at the university. I love to cook vegan food, read and go on long walks. My favourite pastimes are having a natter over tea about deep stuff and doing crafts!
· Evie (description pending but she is very nice!!)
About you:
We’re sociable people, often hosting dinner parties and game nights. We also like going to the pub (we are part of a solid pub quiz team🍺), so it would be great to have someone happy to join us. However, we respect each other’s alone time so there is a nice balance. We’ve made a lot of effort to make this house feel like a home, and so we’d like someone to enjoy this space with us!💛💛
We’re open to people who work from home, but preferably hybrid. We’re renewing our lease in September for a year, so this property isn’t suitable for people looking for short-term rental.
Because Cara has a nut allergy and I’m vegan, we’re very careful about keeping the kitchen clean, so it’s important to us that the cleanliness of the space (and the wider house) is maintained. We find this manageable and we’re very communicative and so have had no issues before!
If you have any questions, please send me a message!
