Description
I am leaving my house share at the end of the year and am looking for someone to replace me.
The room is a small double that came unfurnished. But I am happy to sell on most of the furniture in the photos (bed, mattress, bedside table, chest of drawers).
We have a lovely house with a large kitchen/dining area, a separate living room, and 1 modern bathroom. We also have a garden with a pond, that some of us work very hard to keep looking nice (others not so much).
Current flatmates are Riahne, Tess and Pierre, we are all young professionals in our 20's. We all get a long and like to spend time together in the evenings, though aso have our own personal lives and hobbies. We are looking in someone interested in making friends, not just looking for a room.
Picture yourself joining a weekly sitcom:
There's Tess who works for the uni in outreach. She's really into film and theatre, and has many old lady hobbies including gardening and knitting. To balance this she's recently become a competitive Latin dancer 💃 and would love to show the plastic trophies she won for it.
Next to her is Pierre, a cliché of a Frenchman who's commiting treason working for the local government. He's really passionate about ugly buildings (works in planning) fishes(has an aquarium) and Pokémon (refuses to grow up). Keen to overshare and gossip about the weather, he'll make sure to make the mildest subject entertaining and slightly disturbing.
Finally cross-stitching in the corner is Riahne, she's less loud but she's listening, she'll care about your stories and is sure to open up if you ask her about her work shooting lasers at cells! If you ask nicely enough she'll join you on the couch to play video games and won't (openly) judge you if you suck at it. She's also a great person to commiserate with around a glass of wine (she'll provide).
The room is available from December 15th, but this date is flexible. Rent is £550 per month, not including bills. These come to around £100 per month for council tax, gas, electric, water and WiFi.
Message if you are interested, and we can arrange a viewing either in person or over the phone. Tell us a bit about yourself and let me know when you would be looking to move in.
