We're looking for a flatmate to take up a double room in our large 3 bed house just off Mill Road. The previous housemate left some furniture in the bedroom (bedframe and cupboard) so is part-furnished but can be flexibility if the person moving in wants to bring their own bedframe etc.
£750 pcm is an estimate based off our current total: including all bills (gas, electric, water, wifi and council tax). There's the potential this may go up (or down) slightly with energy prices, but hopefully not by a whole lot.
The house has a large living/dining room as well as a large kitchen with a dishwasher and tumble dryer. We've already lived here for a few of years so the place is fully-furnished and the kitchen is well kitted out. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub/shower. Out back we have a small decked garden with a (potential) vegetable patch and a bbq. We are able to store a bike inside, as well as more space outside.
The place is managed by a letting agent and a landlord who is generally responsive and good with basic maintenance and repairs. The letting agent does require a reference from a previous landlord for new tenants to be signed onto the rental agreement. The rental agreement is rolling (rather than fixed term), so in general you'd just need to give a one month notice. You do need to prove that you earn 20k+/year as they do not use guarantors (it is therefore not suitable for students).
We are both working professionals, with one working at a college in the IT department and one working in the digital marketing field. We're looking for someone clean and friendly to share the house with. In general, it's a chilled, friendly and sociable house with housemates who love a chat and share responsibility for cleaning, but also like their own space. It's been a mixed gender house for the last year or so and we're very open to anyone who seems like a good fit. Drop me a message if that sounds appealing and we can organise a viewing.
