Vacancy in a Cambridge Housing Co-operative

We are seeking new members for our ethical housing in Kingston Street. These rooms will be available later in the Spring, and we are happy to take application for anyone not needing housing immediately but interested in a room later in the year.

This is not only a room, but a volunteer run community too.

As a cooperative, active participation and engagement in the running of the co-op is essential and required as part of the tenancy agreement.

We make decisions democratically, and stay on top of the work by attending regular meetings as houses, working groups and the whole co-op. By managing our housing ourselves, we are able to keep the rent affordable.

Our ideal housemate would be someone responsible and open-minded, able to engage in discussions and shared living with empathy, sensitivity and assertiveness, and who is happy to contribute to the development of the cooperative and a friendly and warm atmosphere.
