Description
Hi all!
We're in search of two new housemates. Ciao Clara and Sam :(
There are two double rooms available in the house.
Room 1 (Photos 1&2) is a double at the front of the house, road facing with loads of sunlight. It is the largest bedroom in the house.
Room 2 (Photos 3&4) is a double at the back of the house, garden facing, away from traffic and the other rooms, but is the smallest.
Both rooms came unfurnished, but the outgoing tenants are selling their respective furniture for £100 each (we're admittedly only after people who are willing to buy these off them, as it would be difficult to shift these otherwise! Plus, you can always sell these yourself if/when you move out). Both rooms come with at least a double bed, mattress, desk, chest of drawers, beside table, clothes rail, shelves, and mirrors. Both rooms are first floor.
The house is directly opposite the hill colleges, and is close to central Cambridge. There is a bus stop right outside, and we’re a ~15 minute bike ride from either the train station or science park. Resident parking permits can be bought for £75.
The house is well built, with loads of character (i. e not a shoddy new build). It has a sizable living room, with a monitor for films/series. Our kitchen is spacious and well-stocked, complete with a washing machine, dishwasher, gas hobs, and more. You'll even have your own designated shelf in our massive fridge! Additionally, we have a large garden where we hold barbecues and play with the neighbour’s cat.
The current tenants are Don and Grace - a biologist and a crop scientist. We have a range of interests, including running, reading, gigs, and watching films and television series. We hang out and eat together often, and often chat rubbish around the kitchen table, perhaps with a glass of wine/tap water. We often go out for meals/coffee, either planned or impromptu! However, we also respect the need for time to unwind, and be by ourselves.
Both contracts start on 1st September. Bills and council tax aren’t included, they come to around £150 per person. Deposit is £675 (not £500!). The private landlord is responsive and understanding, and is quick with any issues we have. The contract is for minimum 6 months, so we’d like to find somebody we could really get along with. We're after somebody around the same age as us.
Feel free to contact us with any questions, and include a small description about yourself in your initial message if you’re interested!
Thanks for reading!
