Small single room in queer house off Mill Road

We’re looking for someone to join our four-person shared house on Suez Road, just off the Romsey end of Mill Road in Cambridge.

You’d be sharing with two men and a woman. We’re a queer household, with a preference for an LGBT housemate. Queer-friendly applicants are welcome too.

The room is a small single, with built-in cupboards and shelving. There is a shared living room. The photos are from the previous occupant and show how they decorated it. It looks simpler today, so expect it to look different at a viewing. The decorations and personal belongings pictured are excluded.

The current rent is £550 a month. A new tenancy will be needed for the changeover, so the landlord may revise the rent. We’re waiting for confirmation of the amount for the incoming housemate.

Bills are paid separately and currently work out at approximately £149.22 per person per month, bringing the estimated total to £699.22 at the current rent. Bills can vary. Council Tax band to be confirmed.

The advertised deposit is £634.61, based on five weeks of the current rent. The final rent and deposit will be confirmed for the new tenancy.

We’re aiming for a move-in date around 28 October 2026, with some flexibility. The date depends on coordinating the move and getting the landlord’s approval, so this could suit someone who has a little flexibility too.

The incoming housemate would need to pass the agent’s referencing and join a new tenancy with the three remaining tenants, subject to the landlord agreeing the changeover.
